I could almost leave it right there. Short, to the point.
We so often get the idea that we are in charge — we are making the plans — in control of our own destiny.
I have heard it said that “Man makes plans and God laughs”
Aligning yourself with God’s will is so vital to all of life. But sometimes we make “knowing God’s will” much more complicated than it really is.
At the risk of over-simplifying things — God wants some simple things from our life.
Micah 6:7- 8
New International Version (NIV)
7 Will the Lord be pleased with thousands of rams, with ten thousand rivers of olive oil? Shall I offer my firstborn for my transgression, the fruit of my body for the sin of my soul?8 He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercyand to walk humbly with your God.
