Friend of mine posted a while back his lament that his Pittsburgh Penguins had lost — again. His comment. “Time to get rid of the super stars and get some real hockey players. ”
Made me think about the current trend toward consumer church. Super stars do a great show and fill the auditorium but few really get serious about doing the real work of service and making disciples.
Let’s get serious about playing the game. Let’s stop worrying about what is cool. It is no longer about buildings, budgets, and butts. The new scorecard should be about disciple-making and life change.
